We tour a hurricane shelter in Antigua
Description
January 16, 2018
The majority of residents from the island of Barbuda are still unable to return home. In early September Hurricane Irma leveled 95 % of the island's infrastructure, leaving the population (approximately 2000 people) displaced. Residents were forced to evacuate to Antigua. Now, a new shelter has been opened to house a portion of the population. In this segment we tour the hostel and speak with those forced from their homes.
