A new program starting in the fall at Trent University will give high school students, grade 11, 12 and 13, a chance to learn more about sustainability in our region.
Kenner Collegiate high school teacher, Cam Douglas, is the director of this brand new program.
He says students will explore the significant challenges we’re facing when it comes to climate change – and how we can work to solve those problems.
Students from all 6 local high school’s can register to take part in the program… and if enough students register… there might even be the possibility of a two week trip to northern Europe.
However Douglas says the trip would be costly, so enough students would have to register to give it the green light.
The registration deadline is January 15th.
