Full speech: Justin Trudeau gives formal apology to people affected by gay purge

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau provided a history of the gay purge which saw people criminally charged or fired from the military or Canada’s civil service for their sexual orientation and offered a formal apology Tuesday to those affected.
