The Canadian Mental Health Association invited the Director of the adolescent psychiatric unit at Kelowna General Hospital to speak in Vernon Thursday night. The association held a community resource fair to provide resources and strategies to deal with youth addiction. Dr. Ocana believes one way to prevent substance abuse among teens is to ensure they have strong and stable relationships with their parents.
