Local historians say respect for Remembrance Day growing among younger generations

Peterborough is getting ready for its annual Remembrance Day ceremony. MC for the ceremony, Dave Edgerton, says he notices many people calling the memorial in Confederation Park a Cenotaph. He wants to stress a Cenotaph has a cross on it, but the money for this memorial was raised as a citizens war memorial to recognize those who lost their lives in war – and a War Memorial is what it is.
