Grosse-Ile – The Musical tells the story of the Irish immigration to Canada in the first part of the 19th century and the fate of hundreds of young children who lost their parents to typhus and cholera. A former prime minister has agreed to act as honoury patron of the play, opening Friday night at the Oscar Peterson Hall. Elyisa Bryan-Baynes found out why.
