Boeing/Bombardier trade war could have ramifications for Belfast economy

Yards from what is left of the giant Belfast shipyard that built the Titanic, the last remaining jewel in Northern Ireland’s industrial crown – a cutting-edge Bombardier wing factory – is in danger of being crushed by a far-off trade war. Hayley Dunne, director of public affairs for Bombardier’s Ireland operations, said any blow to the C-series aircraft as a result of the ongoing dispute with Boeing could be devastating to the company and the local economy.
