CBS investigation finds cannabis legalization yielding big cash windfalls for local communities

Today is April 20th — or 4/20 — known to marijuana enthusiasts as the unofficial holiday to celebrate the drug. A CBS News poll released this morning found the number of Americans supporting legalization reached a new high — 61 percent, up 5 points from just last year. Recreational marijuana sales is raising tens of millions of dollars in taxes in states that have legalized it, funding everything from roads, public buildings to scholarships.
