Kenna-Mae Mulligan’s government issued identification doesn’t all match. Some pieces of I.D. have a hyphen in her name, and some do not. It hasn’t been a problem for the past 71 years, but when she tried to get her drivers licence and care card amalgamated, it became an issue. Now she’s been told that Vital Statistics has removed the hyphen from their records, because it’s not on her birth certificate. Mulligan has been told her only recourse is to legally change her name, and put a hyphen in it.
