Bella Bella tug boat diesel spill called an ‘environmental disaster’
Description
October 18, 2016
Salvage crews are working to syphon more than 200,000 litres of diesel from B.C's central coast after a tug boat ran aground and sank last week. Local First Nations say the containment efforts have not protected the environmentally sensitive area from damage. Chief Councillor of the Heiltsuk Tribal Council Marilyn Slett joins BC1 with more.
