Flock of pelicans fish in southwest Edmonton lake
Description
June 21, 2016
A flock of pelicans have made Glastonbury Lake their home. One of the Global Edmonton photographers caught the big birds fishing in the southwest Edmonton waters Tuesday morning. Pelicans are social birds, living and hunting in colonies. They ride on top of the water in groups to trap schools of fish, scooping their pouches into the water like fish nets.
