Wed, Jun 1: It’s the only clinic of its kind in the province. The metta clinic specializes in care for transgender youth. It operates at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and currently runs for a half a day once a month. Due to the demand — the wait list is 2 and a half years long. Community advocates in the trans community are particularly concerned about the wait fearing it will increase the risk of suicide. Jill Croteau reports.
