Fri, May 6: The Fort McMurray fire is expected to be the costliest disaster in Canadian history, far exceeding the 2011 wildfire in Slave Lake and the 1998 ice storm in Quebec. With many people losing their homes, and possibly their jobs, evacuees fear their former communities have been changed forever.
