Mon, Jan 4: A drug overdose on New Year's day claimed the life of 24-year-old Jesse Smith. The Dartmouth man went into medical distress from complications of a drug that Halifax Regional Police have yet to identify. 23-year-old Jesse Raymond Gaetz of Dartmouth has been charged with criminal negligence causing death. As Alexa Maclean reports, Medical experts say experimental drug use can carry a much higher risk of harm then people think, especially when it's mixed with alcohol.
