‘Assassin’s Creed: Unity’ glitches leave gamers frustrated
Description
November 14, 2014
TORONTO – Fans of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed are not happy with the latest installment of the blockbuster video game franchise after discovering the game is riddled with glitches.
Users began reporting the widespread glitches in Assassin’s Creed: Unity shortly after its release Tuesday.
The majority of glitches appear to be affecting the graphics of the game – from characters missing chunks of their faces, to bending into physically impossible shapes.

The Assassin's Creed franchise has already sold 78 million copies, with Far Cry at 20 million. Watch Dogs, a new franchise, has sold nine million already.
Unity was teased by Ubisoft as one of its most visual games to date, set in Paris in the late 18th century.
“When you spend half an hour in Notre-Dame (Cathedral), with all the astonishing details, it is indeed a blast,” Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto said in an interview with the Canadian Press.
“The level of reality is absolutely insane.”
Many have criticised Ubisoft for releasing the game before it was ready. The company has also been criticised for delaying press reviews until the game had gone on sale – however, Ubisoft said in a statement that the complexity of the multi-player aspect was what delayed review units.
Ubisoft did release a patch on Tuesday that it said addressed “a number of issues,” but users are still experiencing issues with the game’s graphics.
According to an update released Thursday, Ubisoft is working to address many of the graphics issues – but the description of some of the graphic bugs is enough to make any serious gamer laugh, including Arno (the games main character) getting “caught inside of hay carts” and “falling through the ground.”
And though the glitches have disappointed many fans, many are sharing images based on how funny they are.
