Nova Scotia ACORN members hosted an award ceremony landlords may not want to win. The group presented Universal Properties with a Rotten Rental Award, highlighting ongoing maintenance issues at Bayers Park Apartments. ACORN is calling on the Halifax Regional Municipality to strengthen the Rental Registry with the enforcement needed to hold negligent landlords accountable. David Murdock reports.
