<p>CALGARY – Police are hoping for help as they investigate an assault at a downtown LRT station last month which could have ended with the victim being killed.</p><p>It happened around 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 30th at the 6th Street S.W. station.</p><p>The victim came to the aid of three women who weren’t being allowed to board the C-Train by the suspect, which sparked a fight between the two men.</p><p>At one point, investigators believe the suspect attempted to throw the victim onto the tracks, but threw him onto the platform instead.</p><p>Both the suspect and victim left the scene before police arrived.</p><p>Police are looking for help identifying the suspect, who they describe as 6’4” to 6’5” tall, in his 20s, approximately 200 lbs., with a slim build, brown hair and a beard.</p><p>Police also want to speak with the victim, and ask that he contact Cst. Ryan Johnson at the CPS District 2 office, 403-567-6271.</p><p>The victim is described as 25 to 40-years-old, wearing a black jacket, backpack, and red and white baseball cap.</p>
