OPP urge caution as warming temperatures weaken ice
Description
With temperatures beginning to warm across Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Police are reminding people to use extra caution around frozen lakes, rivers and ponds. Changing weather, sunlight and moving water can quickly weaken ice conditions during late winter and early spring. OPP Constable Kody Lyons joins Ross Hull to share key safety tips, including what to watch for before stepping onto the ice and what to do if someone, or even a pet falls through.
