In the city to announce the beginning of preclearance screening to allow passengers heading to the U.S. to go through customs at Billy Bishop Airport, the federal transportation minister couldn't avoid questions about the facilities future. Minister Stephen MacKinnon may have been careful to not over commit to a position, but Ontario's premier still rubber-stamped the federal government's approval at a rival press conference.
