Liberal and Conservative MPs clashed over a solution to Canada’s ongoing cost-of-living crisis in the House of Commons Wednesday. Though Parliamentarians unanimously approved a Conservative motion that would accelerate deliberations over Prime Minister Mark Carney’s proposed Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit (Bill C-19), several Tories still criticized the “recycled” plan, suggesting the Liberals back their own food affordability plan instead.
