What began as a grassroots idea between three brothers has grown into a national movement supporting Special Olympics Canada. Motionball now hosts more than 50 inclusive sporting and social events each year, engaging communities in 19 cities and 26 university campuses, and raising more than $20 million to date. Co-founder Sean Etherington joins Jaden Lee-Lincoln to reflect on the organization’s 25-year journey, its appeal to young Canadians, and what’s ahead as Motionball celebrates its milestone anniversary with the return of the Toronto Gala on February 6.
