“OPHIS,” the award-nominated immersive dance-theatre experience at Toronto’s Great Hall, is drawing major attention for its haunting retelling of the Medusa myth and its bold, multi-level format that places audiences inside the story. With its emotional power and innovative approach, the production continues to resonate strongly as it kicks off its newest run. TranscenDance Project Artistic director Julia Cratchley joins Candace Damiel to discuss the inspiration behind the show, the shift toward women-led immersive work, and the moments she’s most excited for audiences to encounter.
