Defiant protests in Iran are showing no sign of letting up as an information blackout enters a third day. There is growing unrest and outrage, with fiery demonstrations against Iran’s regime and its repression spreading right across the country to every province and some one hundred cities. Human rights groups say 65 people have been killed, with thousands more arrested. It began over crippling economic conditions and has morphed into demands for a new form of government to replace the Islamic Republic. Redmond Shannon reports. Here in Canada, people across the country joined demonstrations demanding an end to the violence and poverty in Iran, standing in solidarity with the plight of protesters. Dan Spector reports from Montreal, where hundreds marched through the downtown on Saturday, demanding the end of the rule of the Iranian regime.
