Edmonton paramedics exhausted amid long response times, fewer staff: ‘It’s heartbreaking’

An Edmonton paramedic with a decade of experience under his belt says the EMS system in Alberta is at a breaking point. He says he’s noticed ambulance wait times for patients increasing and more people seeking care. It comes at a time when their union HSAA says retention of staff is a major issue.
