Carney, Trump meet privately after FIFA World Cup draw

Canada, the U.S. and Mexico are co-hosting next summer’s FIFA World Cup. For many Canadians, the focus on Friday’s FIFA ceremony in Washington was split between our national soccer team and the political action on the sidelines. Following the event, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Donald Trump held their first private meeting since Trump ended trade talks in October.
