British Columbia Premier David Eby said on Thursday that he’s “anxious” that the proposed pipeline project from Alberta is a “distraction” that “has no project proponent,” adding, “not only does it not have permits, it doesn’t even have a root,” or the “support of coastal First Nations.” The NDP premier warned that the project could become an “energy vampire” and said “an oil tanker spill would decimate a way of life for people in the northwest of the Province.”
