Alberta teachers grieving as notwithstanding clause used to end strike: ATA president

Alberta Teachers’ Association president Jason Schilling said the province’s 51,000 teachers are processing a range of emotions, from anger to sadness, after the UCP government invoked the notwithstanding clause to end a provincewide strike: “We cannot underscore or underestimate the gravity of this decision that this government made.”
