Na'kuset has dedicated her life to fighting for the rights and dignity of Indigenous peoples in Montreal and beyond. She is a Sixties Scoop survivor, adopted from her Cree family into a Jewish household in Montreal. Her adoptive family included a loving grandmother, her Bubbie, who played a pivotal role in her journey. That journey is now beautifully captured in a children’s book that she co-wrote with Emmy Award–winning composer, author, illustrator, and TV producer Judith Henderson.
