Niagara Regional Police have confirmed the suspect in both, an Ontario-issued Amber Alert and the fatal shooting of a Brampton woman Tuesday was shot multiple times and killed by an officer at a gas station in Niagara Falls early Wednesday. Though many questions remain unanswered, the “officer-involved shooting” has triggered Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit to invoke its mandate – meaning no other details will be released by police.
