Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has spoken out after being detained by the Israeli military along with more than 450 others last week. Though Thunberg said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) “kidnapped” and “tortured” her and her peers, she did not elaborate, saying she did not want to draw attention away from what she described as “the escalating genocide in which Israel is openly trying to erase the entire Gaza Strip.”
