As indirect negotiations resume in Egypt under U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan, many like Shireen Dawaba and Inas Abu Maamar, who lost relatives, expressed exhaustion and a fragile hope for peace. “We hope, with this Trump's plan, the war would stop, to return to our homes, go home with our children, live a decent life like the children of the world are living,” said displaced Palestinian Shireen Dawaba. Israel’s offensive has killed more than 67,000 Palestinians and left most of Gaza’s 2.2 million residents displaced and destitute.
