Early 2024 emissions estimates from the Canadian Climate Institute says that Canada will not meet its 2030 emissions targets. The nation's leading climate think tank says 2024 levels of carbon dioxide are 8.5 per cent below 2005 levels, way below the goal of 40 to 45 percent.
