Reiterating comments made earlier by Prime Minister Mark Carney, Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc said on Friday that they could sign a “bigger deal” with the U.S. if it benefits workers and industries. However, he said in the interim the country was focused on trying to get relief for sectors impacted by U.S. tariffs. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand added they could not speak for Mexico on whether the U.S. had also proposed a bigger deal to them.
