U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra said Wednesday that he was “genuinely optimistic” that a new trade and security deal between the two countries was possible. He added while people might say it took “too long” to get to this point, he believes whatever deal is reached will be “enduring” and provide more opportunity.
