Trump’s Tariffs: Can an agreement still be reached?
Description
August 4, 2025
The impact of U.S. tariffs on Canadian exports is starting to set in -- with a 35 per cent duty now in effect on select goods crossing the border. Trade minister, Dominic Leblanc says, he believes an agreement can still be reached -- but uncertainty is rippling through supply chains, markets, and workplaces. MEI economist, Emmanuelle Faubert, joins Global News to discuss this further.
