Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Wednesday that “rising antisemitism and words, actions and violence, including against Jewish communities right here in Canada, is abhorrent.” He announced upcoming legislation this fall, aimed at criminalizing the intentional obstruction of access to places of worship, schools, and community centers. Additionally, he said that the government plans to invest in the security of vulnerable communities and places of worship.
