The ‘Tea’ app data leak exposes more than 72,000 user images
Description
July 29, 2025
The 'Tea' app was designed to help women date safe by allowing them to share their dating experiences, and advice. With debates already occurring over the app's premise, a recent hack that led to the leak of more than 72,000 user images is now raising questions about the security of 'Tea' and similar apps. Technology Analyst and Journalist, Carmi Levy, joined Miranda Anthistle to break down the implications of the data breach, why even partial leaks can be dangerous, and if sharing personal information online is ever truly safe.
