Toronto councillors acknowledge need for more community outreach as shelters plan pushes forward

A contentious city council meeting saw many councillors decrying the policy they previously voted for to delegate the authority of selecting shelter locations. Even though zoning changes are now approved for six new shelters, proponents of the process acknowledge they’ll need to improve community outreach for the next 14. Matthew Bingley reports.
