After 51 years in business, Saskatoon-based Actionwear FR is closing its doors. The family-owned manufacturer of flame-resistant workwear will cease production this fall, citing rising competition from overseas and unsustainable manufacturing costs in Canada. More than 50 employees will be affected, and the company plans to sell or donate its remaining inventory.
