Manitoba is asking residents to refrain from all non-essential travel as the province’s emergency services, U.S. firefighters, and volunteers continue to fight the evolving wildfire situation. As of Monday, nearly 21,000 Manitobans have been evacuated from their homes, and the need for more vacant hotel rooms is becoming dire, according to Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Lisa Naylor.
