Conservative Party members questioned the governing Liberals Monday during question period in the House of Commons as to how much money they had collected from their promised “dollar-for-dollar” counter tariffs on the U.S. “It turns out it was actually elbows down, and the prime Minister broke his promise and secretly canceled those tariffs. Now, Trump is threatening 50 per cent tariffs on Canadian steel… how much money (did Mark Carney’s) tariffs will actually generate?” asked Conservative MP for Dufferin-Caledon, Kyle Seeback.
