RCMP calls for budget boost amid 488% jump in terrorism charges

Canada’s federal police force is asking the federal government for a boost to its budget. The RCMP says the funds are needed to better protect Canadians, especially from rising levels of online hate, youth radicalization and increasing fears of domestic terrorism.
