Green Party defends eligibility after debate snub, argues rules were followed

Green Party co-leader Jonathan Pedneault says the party was assured they would be part of the federal leaders’ debate until just hours before it began. At a press conference on Wednesday, he defended the party’s eligibility, stating they submitted over 340 endorsed candidates ahead of the Elections Canada deadline. Pedneault says the Commission’s sudden reversal was politically motivated and insists the Greens complied with all required rules.
