Singh rejects proposal to cut public sector jobs, says it’s ‘wrong thing to do’
Description
April 11, 2025
At a press conference on Friday, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh warned that proposed public service job cuts from Liberal leader Mark Carney and Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was the "wrong thing to do" during a time of economic uncertainty. He says job losses from steel, aluminum, and auto tariffs are already happening, and more cuts would only "make things worse".
