Carney voices support for LGBTQ rights, says Liberals will defend all Canadians ‘without exceptions’

After a reporter pointed out his platform had not said anything about Canadians in the LGBTQ+ communities, Liberal leader Mark Carney called the “different identities and distinctions” in Canadians one of “the great strengths of this country,” adding the “fundamental” important of the government’s job to be “the defender of those rights” “without exception.”
