A group of remote, barren and uninhabited islands near Antarctica have been swept up in U.S. President Donald Trump’s global tariffs, sparking memes and jokes from social media users. Heard Island and McDonald Islands, a territory of Australia, were slapped with a 10 per cent tariff on goods, despite having no export market, and internet users have been using the islands’ penguin inhabitants to make fun of the Trump administration’s decision.
