Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet took aim at U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday, after the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative released its annual National Trade Estimate Report on foreign trade barriers, citing Bill 96 – the French-language speaking law – as one of its vices in the U.S.-Canada trade relationship. Blanchet later pointed to Liberal leader Mark Carney, asking, “Is he the guy to protect this law in front of Mr. Trump, [whom] he fears?”
