Some retaliatory tariffs expected to come into effect on April 2 may be catastrophic for Canadian bookstores. The federal government is expected to impose 25 per cent counter tariffs on $125 billion worth of goods imported into the country from the U.S. At the moment, books are included on the list of tariffs.
