Clayton Dauphinee is raising concerns around the new accessible washrooms at the IWK Health Centre. While the washroom has a lot of accessibility features not seen in other accessible washrooms, such as a full-sized change table and a gantry lift system, he says there’s been an oversight when it comes to the toilet’s accessibility features. As Global’s Angela Capobianco reports, Dauphinee doesn’t blame the health centre for the oversight but instead the lack of education needed to ensure accessibility is universal.
