West End high-rise fire displaces 42 residents

Forty-two people are out of their homes after a fire in a Vancouver West End apartment building, which crews say didn’t have enough sprinklers. The blaze broke out in a high-rise on Nelson Street near Thurlow on Tuesday afternoon.
